My Client is a boutique design consultancy successfully establishing themselves among leaders in environmentally sensitive daylight design. Natural light is a subtle yet powerful medium; where a building works with it the positive effects are tangible. We are seeking a Daylight Design Consultant to work closely with architects and developers to establish how natural light within a building scheme can be imaginatively used to effectively optimise amenity and value.
The Daylight Design Consultant will operate in different areas of responsibility:
- The understanding and interpreting of architectural drawings
- Communication with clients and architects, instilling confidence and professionalism
- Strategic assessment and methodology ; drawing from scientific knowledge on daylight and sunlight in order to manipulate, enhance or control use and appearance in the built environment
- Involvement in research and development to ensure the team’s expertise is at the cutting edge of daylight and sunlight advancement
The successful candidate will be an individual with a high level of skills in daylight design and relevant scientific knowledge about daylight and sunlight, who can assess solar matters and become increasingly involved in thermal modelling.

You will be ideally degree qualified in an Engineering discipline and have a number of years experience working with large power station Gas Turbines, ideally in a Warranty Engineer role.
